friends...and cesarea....


the boys and i have made some really sweet
and awesome friends here in israel...

together we have enjoyed some really fun times...
bowling!!!

as well as some not-so-good times :)  lol

the boys and i also went to cesarea...

Cesarea is an ancient city and port,
built on the shores of the Mediterranean by King Herod the Great.

this city thrived during the Roman's time of power in Israel,
as well as during the times of several subsequent rulers.

it was where apostle paul was held prisoner and tried for his faith
before being sent on to rome.


it was a very beautiful and amazing place...

the boys and i enjoyed sight - seeing in jerusalem
a few days in the last month...

after graduating from high-school,
all israeli young people serve in the israel defense force



many times you see them traveling on the buses.
they wear their uniforms because then
they get to ride for free...

provide a water source inside the city
in case of a siege.

but in some places, it is quite high....
